Control corrosion

Cathodic protection is a method of controlling the corrosion of concrete by addressing major problems associated with carbonation and chloride attack on the concrete.

This technique involves embedding either sacrificial anodes within the concrete structure, or anodes with a low level of impressed electrical current which inhibits the electrical processes necessary for corrosion to occur.
